Geochemical mapping of medieval housepits

Amélie just achieved the geochemical mapping of three medieval housesits discovered in Alsace, eastern France. These analyses are conducted to investigate spatial organisation of the features, to compare it between the different units (they are all very similar in shape), and investigate their function. The first maps will be edited quickly to provide the archaeologists with informations on the housesits when they are still on site, so they can target their sampling on the interesting areas of the house floors.
